Last week I visited a couple of hidden gems in Maitland. Lake Lily Park and Teak Neighborhood Grill.
Lake Lily Park is a small little park packed with a lot of features.

The loop around the lake is .25 of a mile and home to many varieties of wildlife. The boardwalk part of the loop is home to an abundance of turtles looking for a handout. Bring some bread and you will definitely attract them.

The picturesque views from the lake are phenomenal. You would find it hard to believe it’s nestled in off of the highway 17-92. There are plenty of benches located around the lake either to rest or take in the picturesque views. Also, there are a few tables in case you want to have a picnic. There is also a gazebo

There is also a playground with swings and slides

Teak Neighborhood Grill
Teak is famous for their burgers and are constantly on The Orlando Weekly’s Best Of Orlando list every year including this year.

I have been here a few times before but decided to visit because they were having their $5 burger special. Each day of the month they featured one of their famous burgers for $5. On the day I went the burger of the day was The Drunken Monk.

It was incredible. A delicious burger with onion jam, roasted cherry tomatoes, smoked bacon, herb mayo, provolone cheese & Teak chips topped with melted white cheddar cheese served on pretzel bun. After tasting it you could tell why Teak has the reputation and the accolades of best burger.
